Urth Caffe in Pasadena

Urth Caffe
594 E Colorado Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91101
(626) 844-4644
Urth Caffe on Urbanspoon

Used to going to the downtown location which we love.  We are even willing to over look the inflated prices because the ambiance is great.  This location not so much.  The problem with this location is it felt like Urth caffe mini.  The interior is small and the outside doesn't have that much more space.  Compared to the large amount of seating downtown has.  The bottom line is that this place is just mediocre.  Not very big coffee is good but not great.  Considering the options that are available in Pasadena we can not see ourselves coming here again.  Especially since it isn't really walking distance to the main strip on Colorado.  If we want our Urth Caffe fix we are gonna continue to head to downtown.

Slaters 50/50 in Pasadena

61 N Raymond Ave
Pasadena, CA 91103
Neighborhood: Pasadena
(626) 765-9700
Slater's 50/50 on Urbanspoon
We went to check out the Slater's special burger for July. The 100% ground bacon burger called the "The 'merica."In honor of our independence month. It's a bacon on bacon action. Definitely an unique experience. However, don't expect to this burger to make it to the main menu anytime soon. We thought it was a bit too salty for our taste. The ground bacon just isn't the same as a nice piece of bacon stripe. Next time, gonna have to stick with their classic 50/50 setup. We hope you enjoyed our video. Make sure to subscribe for more!

Dog Haus Biergarten in Pasadena

93 E Green St
Pasadena, CA 91105
(626) 683-0808
Dog Haus Biergarten on Urbanspoon
This is such a cool place. When you hear biergarten, it automatically makes you think GERMAN. German sausages, German beers, and bench seats where you can socialize with your mates. Well, it's kinda like that but a whole lot more here.

Dog Haus is unique because they put a different twist to your traditional german wurst or sausage. They also have interesting burgers on Hawaiian style bun! I think the tater tots does it for me. With their cool selection of interesting sauces, it's definitely the place to taste something new and exciting.

When it comes to beer, the German stuff is always on tap. But if you are a craft beer drinker like myself, they also got you covered. Last time we came here, they had a speakeasy XPA in the bottle for $4. It's not cheap, but its definitely not expensive at a place like this. On tap, they got your lagunitas IPA and one of my favorite Rasputin American imperial stout! If beer isn't your thing, dont worry. They got a full bar to make you something else.

The inside is like a sports bar. It was great to watch the Laker game here once. But the the bench tables outside is where it's at. Just like how they do it at the Oktoberfest places, get some food, grab beer and drink with your buddies on the good ol bench seats. It's not pretentious, and just enough to not seem super ghetto. It is after all, old town Pasadena AMIRITE?

We did a video to document this last visit, check out it in the link below. Make sure to subscribe on youtube if you want to see more.
